On 24-27 June 2016, students participated in outdoor journey in Alonissos island. The actions were pedagogical and entertaining. Students – away from TV and computers – came closer to the natural environment and exercised in it through collaborative and exploratory learning. The ultimate goal was to adopt a healthy long living lifestyle and environmental awareness at the same time through experiential way. Students were initiated in Scuba Diving and did Kayak offshore. They toured the marine park. Implemented fitness programs within or outside water beaches, which were prepared in the context of actions, and made themselves guides having adequately prepared on the cultural history of Alonissos.
Remove plastic from the bottom of the sea to the “Kyra Panagia” Island.
The purpose of this cross-curricular teaching was for students to connect scenes described in the “Iliad” of Homer with their aesthetic display in museum artifacts. They used the ideological and mythological elements while having exercised their bodies in order to reconstruct the illustrated works of art scenes through an experiential process.

46 pupils of three grades participated in educational trip from 21 to 24 April 2016 in Ioannina region and Tzoumerka in particular. The trip had had to do with outdoor physical and cultural activities. They visited archaeological sites, traditional villages, modern art museum, two monasteries from which marveled at the view of the landscapes of Arachthos and Kalarrytikos rivers and cave “Anemotripa”, which is the only cave in Greece being passed over by a river.
